In the morning, drive to Shanghai Old Street , a tourist boulevard where a glossy, embalmed wedge of the past is preserved. Next stop is Yuyuan Garden, a place of peace and comfort in the heart of bustling Shanghai, dates back to the fabled Ming Dynasty. Lunch in a decent restaurant. In the afternoon you will pay a visit to Shanghai Museum, is it is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics and paintings and calligraphy. Then go to visit Shanghai World Financial Center and Nanjing Road. In the evening, appreciate a grand acrobatic show at a theatre, it is last for about 2hours. An acrobatic show has become one of the most popular evening entertainments for tourists in Shanghai. You can enjoy gravity-defying contortionism, juggling, unicycling, chair-stacking, and plate-spinning acts at the following stages.
    - Shanghai Old Street: Situated in Middle Fangbang Road, the old street consists of the eastern and western parts. The eastern part consists of the civilian residences of the late Qing Dynasty; and the western section shows the buildings modeled on the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The architectural structures from west to east display the historical and cultural evolution of Old Shanghai from the Ming and Qing dynasties, to the Republic of China and to the era when the Western culture poured into China.
    - Yuyuan Garden: A traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rockeries. Yu Garden is not only a famous classical garden in South China, but also a major historic and cultural site under state protection.
    - Shanghai Museum: As the biggest museum in China, Shanghai Museum has a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural heritages. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.
    - Nanjing Road: Shanghai's main shopping street, enjoying the fame as "the No.1 commercial street of China", also it is one of the most prosperous streets in Asia.
    - The Shanghai World Financial Center: was planned to be the tallest building in the world when it was designed in 1997. The 97 Story building would surpass the spires of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. When Construction was restarted in 2003, the 508 Meter Taipei 101 in Taiwan was already underway to becoming the World's Tallest Building. Plans where changed but the Tower couldn’t be built any higher than its present height at 492 meters since the already done foundation was meant to support a 460 meter tall building.

  • Day 3 Shanghai

  •
Breakfast in the hotel. Today’s tour starts from Xin Tian Di, an urban tourist attraction imbued with the city's historical and cultural legacies. After that, you will be escorted to visit Duolun Celebrity Culture Street and Jade Buddha Temple wihich is one of Shanghai’s few Buddhist temples. In the evening, walk along the landmark of Shanghai- the Bund, and cruise on Huangpu River to experience picturesque nightview of Shanghai.
    - Xin Tian Di Entertainment Complex: It is a state-of-the-art warren of upscale shops, bars and restaurants based on the theme of "where old meets new". Here you find the oddly complimentary combination of the traditional houses of old Shanghai (the 'Shikumen') hosting ultra modern restaurants, bars and shops. The exterior of these shikumen style houses of 1920's Shanghai have been tastefully restored, whilst inside they have been fully renovated to accommodate the tastes of the modern Westerner.
    - Duolun Celebrity Culture Street: At the northern end of North Sichuan Road of Hongkou District, there is L-shaped small road-Duolun Road. In 1920s and 1930s, a group of eminent writers and scholars, including Lu Xun , Mao Dun, Guo Moruo, Ye Shengtao, Qu Qiubai, Ding Ling, Rou Shi,Shen Junru, Shi Liang, Wang Zaoshi and Uchiyama Kanzo, were attracted to live here.
    - The Bund: Also called the Zhongshan Road, it is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, winding a 1500 meters (less than one mile) length. Walking along the Bund, which is at the west shore of the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower can be seen on the opposite side and also the Jin Mao Tower.Being one of the Top Ten Shanghai Attractions, the Bund is a really beautiful and special place which is worth visiting. On the western side of Zhongyi Dongyi Road stand 52 buildings, showing various Chinese and foreign architectural styles, hence the name of “World Architecture Exposition in Modern Times”.
    - Jade Buddha Temple: It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to S hanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing Buddha's death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Jade Buddha, donated from Singapore, and visitors may mistake this larger sculpture for the original, smaller piece.
